EXCHANGE GROUPCALENDAR ADDS REAL-TIME OUTLOOK CALENDAR REPLICATION FUNCTIONALITY TO EXCHANGE
EXCHANGE GROUPCALENDAR works automatically in the background, WITHOUT ANY USER INTERVENTION, when loaded on the company’s Exchange server. This eliminates the need to copy items to the public calendars in the public folders of Exchange server.
Users no longer have to delegate access to the personal calendar for others to see what they want to share. Instead, the access rights on the public calendars define which users have access to particular public group calendars.
The Exchange administrator can descide what type of items will be shared in the public calendars.
The administrator can descide if Out of the Office or Free time is visible or hidden to others.
Users can make items hidden by entering @@@ to the body of an appointment or click the Private checkbox to display items in the public Group Calendar without any detail other then the fact that the user is busy.
When custom forms are being used it is possible to reverse the workings and have every calendar item require a user action for it to show up in the public folder.
